Natalie Shell
Natalie Shell is an innovative and
creative consultant, passionate about dialogue, strategy
the interplay of things, and delivering positive and
profitable change. She brings fresh thinking, energy
and insight to any project. Her expertise in conversation,
creating roadmaps/ framework and stories, in order to
make a strategy tangible and actionable is valued highly
by clients. So is her ability to provide synthesis and
clarity – she often gets people unstuck by providing
them with new ways of thinking.
Her talents in communication (language),
diagnosis and synthesis started early, where coming
from a multi-national, multi-lingual family. Natalie
went on to study multi-disciplinarily, graduating with
merit in two degrees –Business Administration (International
Business and Marketing), and Science (Psychology) from
the University of New South Wales. She is also a certified
Mediator and Market and Social Researcher. Just as her
background is diverse, so are her interests – from storytelling
and writing, to whole systems, sustainability and community
engagement, imagination and the impacts of innovation,
technology and our environments/contexts on shaping
our world.
Equipped with a diverse tool set, she
blends her wide range of skills as a consultant, facilitator
and coach to help individuals and organizations communicate
strategically, get unstuck, generate ideas, gain clarity
and then translate these into actionable, practical
strategies and frameworks.
Since coming to NY in 2005 Natalie
has worked as an Associate of Benchmark Communications,
Inc. She has continued to apply her wide range of communication
and strategy skills as a consultant, facilitator and
storyteller to clients in both industry and not-for-profit
sectors. Selected clients include: GlaxoSmithKlein,
The Liminal Group, Lowe Enteprises, American Jewish
Committee (AJC), and Positive Change Corps.
An Australian, she has previously worked,
with, and for, small and large organizations in the
business and community sectors including Coca Cola Australia,
UNICEF, Best Western Hotels, the Australian Literacy
and Numeracy Foundation, Dymocks, TSL, D-stress, Creative
Clarity, E-dentity, Vermillion and Enthuze, in a wide
range of roles, largely focused on high level strategy
development, branding, change and project management.
She also often acted as an interface between cross-functional
teams. As a facilitator and consultant she developed
and designed leadership training and strategic communication
programs, marketing concepts, interactive workshops,
strategies, brands and framework for action, as well
as leading and/or facilitating teams in dialogue and
change processes.
