Lou Peluso
Luigi Peluso advises senior executives
in discrete manufacturing, high tech, aerospace and
defense, and process industries. In particular, he works
with executives to leverage and implement best business
practices and technologies to support and enhance their
operational strategies. Recent clients include EMC,
GE Capital, Pitney Bowes, and BP Amoco. He is a thought
leader in supply chain management. Mr. Peluso has been
responsible for developing intellectual capital for
several market leading consulting firms. He has led
teams of leading research, consulting, and industry
experts to partner with clients to help them develop
competitive advantage in their markets. These teams
assist clients with operating strategy, business case
development, partner selection, implementation design,
best practice deployment, and risk and change management.
Lou has been a Vice President at CSC Index and The Councours
Group and a Partner at Benchmarking Partners. Several
of his clients have been acclaimed in the business press
for their achievements and improved operating performance.
Mr. Peluso has been the lead instructor
for courses at MIT for executives and graduate students
entitled, "Value Chain Network Strategy", co-sponsored
by MIT's Sloan Business School and Graduate School of
Logistics. He has taught in the Graduate School of Business
for the University of Chicago. Lou has been an adjunct
faculty member in the Business Department of Clemson
University and led seminars for New York University.
In addition to his 15 years of research and experience
as a consultant to clients such as United Technologies
Corporation, Ingersoll-Rand, Danaher, Lockheed Martin,
General Electric, AT&T, Knight-Ridder, and Dupont, and
he has held senior executive positions in Sales and
Marketing. Mr. Peluso co-authored The People Dimension:
Managing the Transition to World Class Manufacturing.
He has contributed to several other books and articles
on business and operations strategy including works
by thought leaders such as James Champy, Michael Tracy,
Fred Wiersema, Tom Peters, and Jordan Lewis. Mr. Peluso
speaks frequently before professional societies and
associations. His talks focus on strategy and business
best practice deployment. Luigi has earned a BS in Mechanical
Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute
and holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
