Jamie Goddard
Jamie Goddard’s consulting approach
is based on a collaborative relationship with clients
at both the organization and individual levels. Throughout
her 15 year consulting career she has developed partnerships
with privately-held and Fortune 500 organizations supporting
the articulation, alignment and development of individual
and team contributions with the strategic objectives
of the organization.
Jamie provides a range of consulting
services and customized programs to assist organizations,
as growth or change demands, in the areas of management,
sales, performance management, external and internal
client management and negotiation, brainstorming sessions,
presentation skills and coaching. In developing a full
diagnostic of a client’s needs, Jamie works with all
levels of the organization – executive leaders, management,
sales and operations - necessary to the design of a
results-oriented implementation.
Jamie supports a client’s awareness
and understanding of how to enhance individual and organizational
effectiveness in a culture. In addition, she helps clients
focus on the importance of relationship building to
enhancing day-to-day and long term strategic planning
and decision-making processes.
Examples Jamie’s engagements
include:

Coaching global key account teams,
domestically and internationally, in strategic account
sales and management of multi-million dollar accounts,
the strategies, relationships and actions necessary
to increase revenue and create successful client
partnerships.

Consultation on a three year implementation
of a division-wide performance management initiative
for Goldman Sachs Technology, including competency-based
one-to-one coaching of managers and their staffs,
and training and coaching high potential managers.
She also held the role of Senior Project Manager,
managing the client relationship and deliverables,
and served as the coach to 12 other project consultants.

For a privately-held firm of 125
employees, Jamie conducted an organizational assessment
of the quality of company-wide communications. This
initiative resulted in employees having a clearer
understanding of organizational values, vision and
purpose and began to streamline work management
processes, enhancing client relationships. For this
client, she provided coaching to the principal and
all employees.

At Clairol, she worked with Operations
and Human Resources coaching production managers
on individual and team written and verbal performance
assessment and setting development goals.
- At a major domestic law firm, she
is currently coaching senior partners on client-focused
account management and business development strategies.
Before becoming a Benchmark Associate,
Jamie spent 10 years in sales, sales management and
training. For On-Line Software, she created and delivered
the training program for the telemarketing sales force.
Four years consulting with Learning International provided
her with formal experience in program development, where
she was instrumental in redesigning their flagship sales
training program and was certified in 10 Learning International
training programs. Her certifications include: Ken Blanchard,
Situational Self-Leadership; Miller-Heiman, Strategic
Selling; Wilson Learning, Managing Interpersonal
Relationships; Vantage Partners, Strategic Relationship
Management (for profit training of Harvard Negotiation
Project ).
Jamie has worked with clients such
as: TNS/NFO, Claritas, Goldman Sachs, SONY, CPTV, The
Women’s Mentoring Network, Aetna, Cigna, Texaco, American
National Can, IRI, Claritas, Willard Bishop Consulting,
Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Bayer Pharmaceuticals,
Boehringer Ingelheim, Hartford Courant, Johnson & Johnson,
and Clairol.
She holds a B.A. in European History
from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. She is
conversant in French and Dutch, having spent four years
living in the Netherlands. As a volunteer she has mentored
women in poverty and is currently a mentor with the
Horizons program, working with an inner-city teenager
throughout her four years of high school. She has conducted
ethics classes at the sixth grade level and is currently
working on two children’s books.
